Our Personal Mission

As a self-described Bad Good Golfer, I have been on a mission to improve my game for over twenty years through one mantra: Golf is a Lifestyle not a Hobby. On my journey I made a strategic decision to put myself in a position to fast track my knowledge of the game by becoming a Club Fitter. After being fit half a dozen times myself prior to working in the industry, I was, quite frankly, extremely disappointed in the experience, results, and process of the way Club Fitting was approached and presented. Each time I would experience a disappointing and predictable array of tropes such as ‘data driven’ or ‘5 mph faster on average’. It wasn’t just the messaging, it also had to do with the lack of collaboration between the Golfer and the Fitter. I had experienced a similar laissez-faire attitude as a left handed golfer when just trying to buy clubs off the rack and test something new. I knew I could raise the bar. I felt like if I wanted to leave my mark on the game I love, being a Club Fitter was a great pathway towards growth and discovery. I had no clue it was going to become my path and opportunity forward in life!

Every time I fit a Golfer for clubs, it is my priority for the Golfer to feel special, heard, and provide whatever context they want about their identity as a Golfer. After seeing over 5,000 Golfers of handicaps ranging from 36+ to +8, and approximately 750,000 swings analyzed by me & a $20,000 launch monitor, I am very confident through experience the context and perspective I can provide in a Club Fitting can be an immense value.

When a Golfer leaves my Fitting Bay, I want them to leave with 3 main takeaways. A better understanding of who they are as a Golfer, what they do well, and what they can work on to get better (if they so choose). Equipment is merely the user interface for this game, and is massively important for each Golfer who tees it up. Matching a Golfer’s Identity with their equipment is vital towards a successful experience and your reputation as a Club Fitter. Fitting can sometimes be long and grueling work especially under a heavy sun, but not only do I get to leave a dent in the Golfer’s journey, I also have an amazing opportunity to grow the game with every single ball struck. It is a true privilege to be a Bagman and I take the responsibility of being the best version of a Fitter I can be to you every appointment.

With Love,

SF
